Andrea Frank 4/23/2019 4:59 PMI would have loved to take more time with each of these aspects, but I am glad I did at least some of the things I was hoping to. -
Andrea Frank 4/23/2019 4:56 PMI bought a cherry tree today, hoping to plant it tomorrow. Excited to have been able to do this... and I look forward to cherries in the coming years. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONElectricity Generation Watch a Video about Methane DigestersWhat does your vision of a sustainable community look like? What would need to be changed in order for such vision to become reality?
Andrea Frank 4/10/2019 2:35 PMI envision a community that embraces the idea that we do not need to ever produce waste (from plastics for example), but can use and help transform materials into different states, which help different systems. Methane digesters seem to be a wonderful way to integrate even human waste into our food production systems and create energy at the same time.
I also see a community with human-powered or public transportation with minimal need for owning cars. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONBuildings and Cities Plan to InsulateWhat are some of the benefits of making your home more energy efficient?
Andrea Frank 4/10/2019 2:24 PMI know we need to insulate our attic better, will look into blasting recycled newsprint materials to add a second layer.
