  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Transport Use Muscle Power
How do your transportation choices affect your engagement in your community? Does your experience or enjoyment differ while walking, riding transit, biking or driving?

    Claire Gregory's avatar
    Claire Gregory 4/22/2019 4:21 PM
I find walking and biking to places a lot more fun than driving to places. It gives me time to reflect and be myself. Not only am I helping the environment, but I’m also helping myself.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Electricity Generation Learn More About Geothermal Energy
Geothermal energy is reliable, abundant, and efficient. Project Drawdown states that public investment will play a crucial role in its expansion. In what ways (i.e. with money, time, advocacy) can you invest in geothermal energy?

    Claire Gregory's avatar
    Claire Gregory 4/21/2019 5:25 PM
I can inform others about geothermal energy and talk to representatives. Since I’m a teenager, it might be hard to donate enough money to make a difference, but I can still do other actions.

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Materials Properly Dispose of Refrigerants
How do you address your own feelings of concern, fear or despair about climate change?

    Claire Gregory's avatar
    Claire Gregory 4/20/2019 9:51 AM
I try not to approach environmental issues with a negative attitude. Being upset has never helped me move forward, but I realize that it helps inspire others.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Buildings and Cities Replace Manual Thermostats
How do you anticipate replacing your thermostats for smart ones will positively impact your life?

    Claire Gregory's avatar
    Claire Gregory 4/20/2019 9:38 AM
Energy is very polluting, and by having smart thermostats I will use less energy.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Women and Girls Support Women-Owned Businesses
Globally, women typically invest a higher proportion of their earnings in their families and communities than men. How can you better support communities by supporting women? Can you share any past experiences that may help others take action?

    Claire Gregory's avatar
    Claire Gregory 4/20/2019 9:30 AM
Normalizing women working can help empower them to go out into the world and take action.

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Land Use Forest-Friendly Foods 1
How is your diet currently impacting deforestation? What can you do to decrease your negative impact and increase your positive impact?

    Claire Gregory's avatar
    Claire Gregory 4/17/2019 6:18 PM
I currently don’t pay enough attention to how much my diet impacts deforestation. I now know that I definitly need to, and I will start researching more about what other options are out there.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Buildings and Cities Research Heat Pumps
Why is taking action on climate change important to you? Why do you care?

    Claire Gregory's avatar
    Claire Gregory 4/17/2019 3:27 PM
Many people don’t realize how important it is to reduce climate change. Not only does it effect  animals and plants, but it effects humans too, especially minorities. We need to educate people and stand up for our planet and for the people being unjustly harmed by climate change.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Reduce Animal Products
In your opinion, what contributes to people in North America eating more meat than any other countries? What does this say about North American values and ways of living?

    Claire Gregory's avatar
    Claire Gregory 4/17/2019 3:21 PM
Meat is very easy to get in North America. Many traditional American meals include a lot of meat. America just really loves meat.
