I love not having a car. Though at times it can be limiting. I enjoy  living so close to public transportation and I really appreciate that the company I work for employees a shuttle and driver to pick up commuters from the subway and take them into the Navy Yard.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Materials Eliminate Toxic Plastics
What single-use items (e.g. straws, coffee cups, vegetable bags, plastic bags) do you regularly use? What could be substituted instead?

I really do love a plastic straw. But, I know that they are adding to our problem with single use plastics. Because of this I have stooped using plastic straws and, have purchased metal straws to use instead.

This challenge is going well. It is reminding me to stop and really think about how all of my actions throughout the day can impact others and our world.
