To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Land Use Advocate for Forest Protection
Higher standards of living are very often dependent on moving our environmental costs elsewhere. What are some specific ways in which the environmental impacts of your own lifestyle might be shifted elsewhere?

The environmental impact of my own lifestyle might be shifted elsewhere are my showering habits. I tend to take long, hot showers, which is a waste of energy and water. The environmental impacts of this habit do not have a direct effect on me, but places in drought, like Sao Paolo, are affected by my waste of water because they are in desperate need.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Women and Girls Support Women-Owned Businesses
Globally, women typically invest a higher proportion of their earnings in their families and communities than men. How can you better support communities by supporting women? Can you share any past experiences that may help others take action?

To better support communities by supporting women, I can research local woman-owned businesses, and support them. I can also encourage my friends and family to support local woman-owned businesses. The actions could grow the local economy while encouraging more entrepreneurship among women in the community!
