"Each week, I'm going to remind us of the CO2 levels in the atmosphere. We must avoid a level of 450 parts per million for a chance to keep global warming below 2°C. If we don’t change how we do things, we’re likely to exceed the target in 10-15 years. The latest measurement (as of April 18): 413.54ppm 12 months ago: 409ppm; 50 years ago: 326.66ppm; 250 years ago, est: 250ppm"

It can be hard to find time to complete the one-time challenges, but I'm always surprised by what I learn from them!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Buildings and Cities Go for a Daily Walk
What have you noticed on your daily walks? What have you enjoyed? What infrastructure changes could make your walks more enjoyable or possible?

A combination of safer bike lanes and less cars would encourage me to bike when I'm in the city! If something is within 1.5 miles of walking distance, I typically walk there since the sidewalk is generally continuous and abundant in a city setting.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Food Keep Track of Wasted Food
An average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Where would you rather use this money?

    Personal: Vacation to Europe
Altruistic: Food for those who need it, of course! (e.g., refugees, aid to Venezuelans, etc.)
