REFLECTION QUESTIONMaterials Share Bioplastic Disposal TipsWhat concerns you the most about how we are affecting the planet? Consider both local and global actions.
Jing Legaspi 4/11/2019 6:56 PMLocally. the country's number coding does not seem to solve the problem of traffic congestion. Globally, the automotive industry turned this to their opportunity to sell more cars; with easy payment schemes. An international discussion maybe needed so that we can come up with a solution that is actually participated by all. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONLand Use Research PeatlandsMuch of Indonesia's peatlands have been drained so they could be replaced with palm oil or pulp and paper plantations. How can you make choices that help to protect peatlands, even if you live far away from one?
Jing Legaspi 4/09/2019 9:28 AMI think there has to be public consultation wherever a development is going to be done in an area, especially the rural areas. Looking at peat-lands, people would not normally realize what they are for, unless explained to them. Public officials tend to construct as a way to show development but little do they know that their ways are destructive rather. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransport Use Public TransitHow has your access to various kinds of transporation throughout your life influenced your current attitudes about transportation and your transportation behavior?
Jing Legaspi 4/09/2019 7:39 AMHaving lived in another country, I yearn for an efficient public transport system in our country. -
Jing Legaspi 4/09/2019 7:36 AMBack in 1996, when I was asked to deliver a speech at the Japanese Foreign Affairs in Tokyo, I mentioned our problem regarding mass transportation. Japan's intricate train system has always been very convenient both for moving people and goods within their country. I would be willing to take public transportation if it is as efficient as I have experience in other countries. But, as we all know, our transport system is a mess. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Social Justice Start a Social Media CampaignHow are people responding to the statistics you're sharing on social media?
Jing Legaspi 4/08/2019 5:48 PMThere is no response on my post on Facebook within the 1st 8 hours of posting. I usually get reactions and comments with a minute of posting. I think people just jumps on the bandwagon but they hesitate on things they aren't sure about; not that they are sure about anything trending. People may just be scared of taking on a responsibility. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONBuildings and Cities Express My SupportHow could better walking infrastructure make your city both more enjoyable and more equitable?

REFLECTION QUESTIONBuildings and Cities Go for a Daily WalkWhat have you noticed on your daily walks? What have you enjoyed? What infrastructure changes could make your walks more enjoyable or possible?
Jing Legaspi 4/07/2019 6:04 PMThere are no sidewalks in most parts of the community where I live. Walking towards the park means having to walk on the street with a lot of vehicles passing and it makes the air polluted. In some parts where there are sidewalks, the pavements are rough and uneven, it could be dangerous if one is not looking down on the path. it would be more convenient and safe for the community to reclaim the sidewalk, instead of garden strips where people cannot walk on. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Learn More about Regenerative AgricultureClean air, clean water and healthy food are three reasons to care about regenerative agriculture. What are some other reasons?
Jing Legaspi 4/06/2019 10:21 AMRegenerative agriculture keeps the soil healthy, thus producing healthy food in return. It also help make the climate healthy and balance because the air is clean. I live in a place in the city where there are plants and trees all around. There used to be areas where my grandfather would do regenerative planting of corn, then peanuts, then other root crops. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONMaterials Properly Dispose of RefrigerantsHow do you address your own feelings of concern, fear or despair about climate change?
Jing Legaspi 4/04/2019 7:50 PMWith climate change, what used to be passively cooled classrooms are now running air conditioning units for 12 hours at the most. My fear is that it cannot revert back to passive cooling since the temperature is too warm. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONElectricity Generation Watch a Video about Methane DigestersWhat does your vision of a sustainable community look like? What would need to be changed in order for such vision to become reality?
Jing Legaspi 4/04/2019 10:23 AMit think as simple solution such as used of porous concrete should eliminate surface run offs and thus returning to the ground the water that can improve vegetation in the area, which will be to our benefit; sustaining better air quality.
