-
Ava Nemeth 4/25/2019 1:19 AMI really enjoyed doing this challenge. It made me realize that my family and I needed to make some changes in order to help the environment around us. It helped us identify what we waste and what we could use. Going forward with these new changes will be permanent. -
Ava Nemeth 4/24/2019 3:50 AMMicro tubes could possibly be installed in the Empire State Building. That building has tons of lights and it is always lit up. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONMaterials Become A Master Recycler/ComposterWhat could you do differently to waste less?
Ava Nemeth 4/16/2019 8:02 AMI bought a reusable water bottle so that I can fill it up with water instead of constantly bringing a new plastic bottle of water to school everyday. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONMaterials Fix Leaky FaucetsWhat are other easy and low-cost ways to reduce your water usage at home?
Ava Nemeth 4/13/2019 3:46 AMSome low-cost ways to reduce my family's water usage at home would be shorter showers, fix leaky faucets, wash clothes at night/turn water off while brushing teeth. These are just some ways that my family and I can try and lower costs. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONMaterials Mulch the Base of Trees and PlantsName some of the human activities impacting the health of water systems, both locally (your watershed) and globally (freshwater and oceans). What can you do to improve the health of water systems?
Ava Nemeth 4/12/2019 1:22 AMWe mulched around our trees yesterday to prevent any run off that came down the back of our hill -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransport Try CarpoolingList some of the places you frequent often (work, grocery store, natural areas). Could you choose one or two days a week to schedule driving with a friend, neighbor or co-worker to these places?
Ava Nemeth 4/12/2019 1:16 AMThe last couple of weeks we have been carpooling with two other families to get to all of our activities. -
Ava Nemeth 4/11/2019 3:30 PMI am happy that I joined the challenge. I chose some actions that I am passionate about and do with my family. Others I figured I would try. I really did not know too much about some. But I am now able to have a little knowledge on what i am discovering. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Reduce Animal ProductsIn your opinion, what contributes to people in North America eating more meat than any other countries? What does this say about North American values and ways of living?
-
REFLECTION QUESTIONLand Use Plant TreesHow is planting trees good for your mental, physical, and spiritual health?
Ava Nemeth 4/09/2019 1:36 AMIt's proven that time spent outdoors is good for you physically, mentally and spiritually. People who live in greener communities are 3x more likely to be physically active and 40% likely to be overweight then those not living there. -
Ava Nemeth 4/09/2019 1:24 AMEveryday since this challenge I have bee having salads for dinner or Lunch.
