REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Social Justice Learn about Local Indigenous PracticesWhat did you learn about indigenous peoples' land management that you can apply in your own life?
Jess O'Reilly 4/11/2019 9:32 AMI can start a garden and grow more of my own food so I am not supporting monoculture as much -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Reduce Animal ProductsIn your opinion, what contributes to people in North America eating more meat than any other countries? What does this say about North American values and ways of living?
Jess O'Reilly 4/11/2019 9:25 AMI think at first it may have been a status symbol, because it is harder for poorer people to afford animal products. Now I think it is due to the convenience of these foods in fast food. It shows that americans really have become slaves to convenience and in turn are sacrificing their health and the environment. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Learn the Truth About Expiration DatesHow does knowing the difference between use by, sell by, and best by dates empower you to make better decisions?
Jess O'Reilly 4/11/2019 9:22 AMI won't unnecessarily throw away items that aren't actually expired. Best by and sell by dates do not mean the same thing as expiry or use by dates
