Joan Petersen 4/23/2019 11:24 AMI'm becoming more and more sensitive to knowing when I am almost full. This will save my health and reduce waste and help the planet! -
Joan Petersen 4/23/2019 11:23 AMI feel very good about communicating my concerns to elected officials. I hope this spurs them into action!!! -

Joan Petersen 4/22/2019 1:56 PMI plan to continue this after the EcoChallenge is over. Appreciate the nudge to get started, and connecting it with planetary health. -
Joan Petersen 4/21/2019 4:51 PMI'm eating more mindfully, being more careful not just with quantities, but with food choices. Also trying to stop eating before I feel full. -
Joan Petersen 4/17/2019 9:20 PMI so appreciate the Drawdown Project for making it so easy to know how to contribute to a better world and join this global effort. I loved seeing the picture of the girls who will now be able to go to school and feel their independence and power! -
Joan Petersen 4/17/2019 9:13 PMIn addition to eating smaller portions, I've been spending more time in Nature and feeling connected and strengthened by being in Nature. The whole process of taking in food is a way of connecting with Nature. I like thinking about it this way. -
Joan Petersen 4/17/2019 9:05 PMIt was hard to find non-profits doing this work. Somehow my Google searches didn't come up with much. I'd love to hear from others about this. I did find a group called Give Power, that uses solar power to give people access to fresh, desalinized water in Haiti and other places. -
Joan Petersen 4/17/2019 8:26 PMI've been sick with a cold for several days, and this helped me eat less, use smaller dishes, and generate less waste. I've actually never left much on my plate - I was taught that as a kid, so dishing out smaller portions is the best way for me to honor my body and the planet.
