REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Smaller PortionsFun fact: Your brain and stomach register feelings of fullness after about 20 minutes of eating. While dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come out of eating smaller portions?
Ira Rosh 4/18/2019 4:07 PMThere are obviously health benefits to eating lesser amounts of food at each serving. While not an expert, I know that digestion is a bodily function that requires energy and allowing the body to work less is in itself a win. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransport Use Public TransitHow has your access to various kinds of transporation throughout your life influenced your current attitudes about transportation and your transportation behavior?
Ira Rosh 4/18/2019 4:04 PMThe biggest challenge in the last few years is the realization of the carbon footprint of traveling by air. This has caused, for a good cause, an personal examination of how we travel and how to lessen the impact. Flying less and using offsets are options, but I am not sure they fully address the criticality of this issue yet. -
