Linda Seals 4/24/2019 5:02 AMHey team, sorry for not participating much this time. The National Sustainability Summit (NSS) kept me away from the computer and crazy busy. I'm really proud to be part of this awesome team! The NSS was a great success with over 180 attendees from all around the country. Most of the attendees were Extension faculty who left the conference motivated and reinvigorated to tackle climate change. Dr. Katherine Hayhoe was our keynote speaker. If you are not familiar with her, look her up. She is inspiring!-
Chris Kane 4/24/2019 7:36 PMsounds to me like you have an excellent reason for not participating 100%; if only everyone could have gone to your conference..............

Linda Seals 4/04/2019 10:47 AMStruggling to keep all of my balls in the air this week! Not a bad thing because I am fortunate enough to be working on some meaningful projects with some amazing colleagues from all over the country. Earlier today I was on a conference call with some colleagues where we were discussing a new program that we are developing. The program is aimed to help communities build capacity. We were working on getting to the core of "So What?" The term "Community Vitality" was recommended to describe what our end product would be--this is the new buzzword in the world of community development. Instead of "sustainable communities," community vitality more accurately describes what we mean when we say "sustainable." Community vitality covers economics, human well-being, and the environment. I love it. What do you think?-
