Participating in the DRAWDOWN ECOCHALLENGE was an eye-opening experience that helped us as a SERES to learn more about the green footprints, that on a daily basis, every member leaves on our Pachamama La Tierra (The Earth).

At the same time, this space makes us aware about how our different lines of actions and projects are so relatable on the creation of more sustainable communities through our youth activism and permaculture and agrofostery initiatives.
Again, Thanks to the DRAWDOWN ECOCHALLENGE platform and team for the space to share, learn and active. Hopefully SERES involvement will be more active next round!

SERES Finca (Farm) is an evolving initiative that has as an innovative component the  social commitment applied in the agroforestry project. With the farmers, we are organically cultivating parcels of land using agroforestry methodology. This symbiosis helps to mitigate the environmental impact of conventional agriculture (chemicals) and the income generation for both parts involved.

Many of the beneficiaries of our SERES Finca program comes from displaced communities of the Volcan El Fuego eruption in 2018.

Because  women with more years of education have fewer and healthier children, and actively manage their reproductive health.

At SERES we strongly believed that,In order to create a Sustainable Community, it is necessary to bring together different age member groups to learn and implement best practices in different areas like agriculture. The final outcome is start to create places where people want to live and work, now and in the future.

SERES trained to Women and Young Girls from Tecpan (Rural Community in Guatemala) about sustainable practices of agriculture.
We strongly believe if we can activate the women and girls roles in different economic and entrepreneurship initiatives will have a large impact on future generations.

SERES is currently promoting Permaculture with local members of Tecpan Community. We believed that if "Permaculture is a philosophy of looking at plants and animals in all their functions, rather than treating any area as a single product system"
