REFLECTION QUESTIONElectricity Generation Learn More about BiomassHad you ever heard of biomass techonology before you took this challenge? What did you learn that surprised you? Share this with your friends!
Payton Swenson 4/21/2019 11:57 AMI really liked the video about the town in Oregon using biomass technology for energy in their town. The fact that there was an 80% reduction in energy costs is amazing. This speaks to me most about how these solutions exist and are in use. They're not unreachable technologies. -
Payton Swenson 4/18/2019 6:38 PMI am really looking forward to doing more drawdown research! The site is really accessible-
Wendy V 4/19/2019 5:58 AMSilvopasture is fascinating. I think the TED Talk is a great place to start. I also just ordered a book about it by Steve Gabriel (suggested by Kelly).

REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Explore Other Food SolutionsWhat did you find out? What is the most interesting fact you learned?
Payton Swenson 4/15/2019 6:03 PMIn reading about food waste I learned about the potential of seaweed/ kelp, both as an opportunity to sequester carbon and as a food source for livestock. It seems feeding livestock with kelp could endanger the kelp, but maybe it is an either/or situation for different countries/ communities.
