Well this the last day so here is my feedback - I actually enjoyed this challenge more than I thought I would - I will be better at selecting challenges next time as I think I made it easy on myself! More importantly I found I learned lots - about EVs and about how good we are at composting, small food scraps and having minimal garbage.  I think though the biggest learning has been that I am quite comfortable with a almost 100% plant-based diet - I am leaving it a bit open so I can eat meat once in awhile but that might change too. This was worth doing it for me - I thought I would do it for the 3 weeks but not be prepared to so easily adopt it. The eco challenge was worth doing for me just for that learning and it will result in behaviour change. I found it easy to check in every day and always liked to see what my team mates were doing. Thanks Helen for lighting a fire under me!

So glad to hear about your plant-based diet. Our family is vegetarian from Monday to Friday, and that seems to satisfy everyone. Next fall, the next challenge! Keep it up!

Great work everyone! I am finding this challenge interesting! I wish I understood it all a bit better and signed dup for a few different things but next year! I have been pretty much eating completely vegetarian (I think I have had 2 meat dinners) which has actually been easier than I thought! We have experimented with lots of different dishes (and have become very used to chick peas). I find it very difficult to source 20% of my food from local sources at this time of year so have failed that daily challenge many days! I am also pretty shocked at how little scraps we accumulate - this was comforting to know! One week to go! Betty

No need to wait for next year Betty as this will be offered again in the fall and we will all be so much better at navigating this. Glad you enjoying your vegetarian meals.
