REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Smaller PortionsFun fact: Your brain and stomach register feelings of fullness after about 20 minutes of eating. While dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come out of eating smaller portions?

REFLECTION QUESTIONMaterials Recycle Everything I CanHow could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle? How does considering implementing these "R's" make you feel?
Ana Towata 4/05/2019 11:23 AMThinking about reducing, reusing and repurposing really changes the way I think before buying something in the first place. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransport Use Muscle PowerHow do your transportation choices affect your engagement in your community? Does your experience or enjoyment differ while walking, riding transit, biking or driving?
Ana Towata 4/05/2019 5:20 AMWalking gives me a completely different perspective of my neighborhood: I pay attention to details that I cannot when I'm driving. I can also interact with people and pets! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Reduce Animal ProductsIn your opinion, what contributes to people in North America eating more meat than any other countries? What does this say about North American values and ways of living?
Ana Towata 4/04/2019 6:10 AMI believe it is a combination of availability and affordability. The high offer makes me think about how the market shapes what consumers want to buy and see as normal, without thinking about the truth behind the food products (source, health impacts, environmental impacts, etc). -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransport Try CarpoolingList some of the places you frequent often (work, grocery store, natural areas). Could you choose one or two days a week to schedule driving with a friend, neighbor or co-worker to these places?
Ana Towata 4/04/2019 5:55 AMI am going to carpool with classmates whenever I have classes at Eden Hall. I am going to offer rides for my roommate and neighbors I know to go to grocery store.
