We're having a panel of High School Environmental Club members today at Wight!  It's time to LISTEN to others and hear of their interests and concern in how we live on this planet.

So I checked by electricity provided, AEP Energy that I previously purchased green power from.  I noticed by price per kWh had really gone up.  When I called to double check that I was still purchasing green power, I found that my contract had expired and they had been charging me a month to month rate.  Bottom line, by re-enrolling in a green purchase program, my price came down by more than 1.5 cents per Kilowatt hour!  Doing well by doing good!

Earlier this spring, many of our children around the world walked out of school to tell us we are not doing enough to combat climate change.  We are currently the stewards of their future.  Taking action of climate change is not optional if we mean to give them the best future we can.

So true!  People think about their children's schooling, their children's socialization.  Not enough of us think about our children's _planet_.

How does advocating for rooftop solar connect to your values? How might you be able to get others involved in advocating for the shift to clean energy?

Sharing opportunities to use large building rooftops as a resource for clean energy, not only helps create the low carbon future necessary to a healthier world, it affords access to stable low energy prices and continues the downward trend on the first cost of solar power.

In your opinion, what contributes to people in North America eating more meat than any other countries? What does this say about North American values and ways of living?

I think Americans are taught they need the protein in meat in order to be healthy.  Shown another way, I think Americans can easily transition to a much lower consumption of meat.  And we are!
