REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Reduce Animal ProductsIn your opinion, what contributes to people in North America eating more meat than any other countries? What does this say about North American values and ways of living?
Sarah Voska 4/03/2019 2:23 PMThe Farm Bill's subsidies for feed corn, dairy and livestock farming is what contributed to the low cost for meat compared to GDP/capita, meaning that it is cheaper for us to eat more meat. Because of this, it becomes more attainable across classes and is eaten more frequently. A lack of these subsidies for healthy foods such as fruits and vegetables mean that they are relatively more expensive. -
