Buildings and Cities Tour a Green Roof
What did you learn on your green roof tour?

A green roof tour, if constructed properly, can be VERY beneficial to a buildings HVAC system. Lightening the load of solar gain allows for less energy use to compensate with conditioned air. Green roofs, if done correctly, can be maintained with minimal effort.

  • REFLECTION QUESTION

Why is taking action on climate change important to you? Why do you care?

I accept the fact that human beings are contributing more to global warming than the natural cycle of the earth. I believe the human species has the intelligence to stop our own contributions. I believe we should lead the way to change what drives our technology ($) to that of responsibility to leave a healthy earth behind for further generations to enjoy. I have two small children , that's why i care.
