Gabby Witkowski 4/23/2019 6:33 PMDespite not logging on here too many times, I wrote a list of things I can do and challenges I can give myself, using ideas and directions from DrawDown and I've been completing as many as I can! Small daily actions add up. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWomen and Girls Support Women-Owned BusinessesGlobally, women typically invest a higher proportion of their earnings in their families and communities than men. How can you better support communities by supporting women? Can you share any past experiences that may help others take action?
Gabby Witkowski 4/23/2019 6:31 PMTwitter and Instagram are constantly promoting women run businesses to me and I love to support handmade brands like crocheted clothes and I recently just discovered shethinx.com ! Womanhood is so sacred to me and a great way to support these types of businesses is to spread the word and save up $ to splurge ! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONLand Use Forest-Friendly Foods 2How difficult or easy was it to change your diet?
Gabby Witkowski 4/23/2019 6:26 PMThis one was very easy for me because I don't use these types of ingredients really. I did write down a note to stop buying the conditioner I buy though, after the bottles done, because it includes palm oil. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONMaterials Share Bioplastic Disposal TipsWhat concerns you the most about how we are affecting the planet? Consider both local and global actions.
Gabby Witkowski 4/23/2019 6:23 PMIt's terrifying to think of how much we're destroying our planet and how little some people care for our world. What concerns me most is these large corporations that pollute our air the most and do nothing to cut back substantially because they'll lose money. This is our home!!! Where's the care for others and for animals and wildlife? -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Keep Track of Wasted FoodAn average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Where would you rather use this money?
Gabby Witkowski 4/23/2019 6:20 PMI know I waste a bit of food here and there but I never fully realized how much it adds up to. That money could pay for 2 months of my rent plus a grocery trip or two!
