I really enjoy walking and I commute to work on foot. I get to notice more things in my neighborhood while walking, and see and interact with people. I also really enjoy soaking in my surroundings while walking and I feel like I'm more in touch with the seasons and my city. I enjoy walking much more than driving, especially when traffic is bad and cars just sit there and it often feels like walking is almost as fast as driving. Not to mention that walking is great exercise, and without my commute, my busy life with two kids and a job would be much more sedentary.
