REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Social JusticeWhat did you learn about indigenous peoples' land management that you can apply in your own life?
Sprout Hochberg 4/09/2019 1:36 PMMy son is involved in a Native American Youth Group for urban Native youth. They are leading a workshop at a conference later this week on protecting sacred land. I helped in the putting together of the workshop at youth group today. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONBuildings and CitiesWhat have you noticed on your daily walks? What have you enjoyed? What infrastructure changes could make your walks more enjoyable or possible?
Sprout Hochberg 4/03/2019 7:14 AMI build a walk in to my commute everyday and often walk to a further bus stop to get some more steps in. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportHow do your transportation choices affect your engagement in your community? Does your experience or enjoyment differ while walking, riding transit, biking or driving?
Sprout Hochberg 4/03/2019 6:53 AMMy work strongly encourages alternative transportation and this has spread to my personal trips as well. My car (which is all electric) can stay in the garage for most of the week. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodIn your opinion, what contributes to people in North America eating more meat than any other countries? What does this say about North American values and ways of living?
Sprout Hochberg 4/03/2019 6:51 AMWe prioritize farming of meat; we subsidize farmers to grow grain for meat feed. It is economic -- certainly not based in environmental or health concerns.
