Run less water while washing dishes and use energy efficient appliances like washing machines and dishwashers. Set a timer and take quick showers and install low flow toilets. don't run the faucet while washing your hands, get them wet and shut it off then soap up and then turn it back on and rinse, or use hand sanitizer as an alternative.

This is a little more difficult for me then I thought it would be. I tend to try and make more so everyone gets enough to eat and I worry they maybe hungry again later. So I have been making meal and snack plans for the week and posting them for the family. It keeps me in check and them as well.

Yes, Autumn! Meal Prepping or planning assist to ensure you don't have to make so much that you need. The only time that I make double if for sure we are eating left overs the next day or even taking lunch. But you will get the hang of it!

    Food Smaller Portions
Fun fact: Your brain and stomach register feelings of fullness after about 20 minutes of eating. While dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come out of eating smaller portions?

I use our smaller salad plates to serve up meals to me and my family. We use less and still feel full. I also use small Tupperware when storing as well.

It's crazy how our mind think. You will notice over time that you will be putting much on those plates as well. Smaller more frequent meals are so much healthier.
