REFLECTION QUESTIONTransport Try CarpoolingList some of the places you frequent often (work, grocery store, natural areas). Could you choose one or two days a week to schedule driving with a friend, neighbor or co-worker to these places?

REFLECTION QUESTIONMaterials Mulch the Base of Trees and PlantsName some of the human activities impacting the health of water systems, both locally (your watershed) and globally (freshwater and oceans). What can you do to improve the health of water systems?
Isabel Peirce 4/17/2019 2:46 PMWhat a coincidence that my family was already planning to mulch around the trees in our yard!
Although we were going to for aesthetic purposes, I’m so excited to hear that there’s a practical, earth-saving benefit to it too! -
Isabel Peirce 4/17/2019 2:43 PMIt’s cool noticing how a lot of the things I’m doing to be eco-friendly have become habits! Such as not using a bag if I didn’t bring my own, striving to not waste food and taking shorter showers!-
Josh Newport (Ecochallenge.org Staff) 4/17/2019 3:24 PMGreat to hear Isabel, this is what EcoChallenge is all about!!

REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Reduce Animal ProductsIn your opinion, what contributes to people in North America eating more meat than any other countries? What does this say about North American values and ways of living?
Isabel Peirce 4/10/2019 7:44 PMSeeing the statistics of how much reducing animal waste can help is extremely motivating- still haven’t committed to going completely vegan yet -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood CompostingProducing food that goes uneaten squanders many resources—seeds, water, energy, land, fertilizer, hours of labor, financial capital. Which of these kinds of waste most motivates you to change your behavior regarding food waste? Why?
Isabel Peirce 4/10/2019 7:42 PMNot only have I been composting at school, but my family has been talking about starting our own compost at home! Yippee -
Isabel Peirce 4/10/2019 7:40 PMI love how much the community is supporting each other in this challenge! So excited to see how we progress! Great job everyone:) -
