Carolyn Ryan 4/06/2019 12:25 PMMaking low waste swaps can be intimidating, so I thought I'd share a few brands that I've been using for a while and absolutely love! Mabel makes bamboo toothbrushes and packages them completely plastic free! The packaging is recycled cardboard and printed with soy ink. The toothbrushes are able to stand up completely on their own which is a fun touch, and you are able to pull out the nylon bristles and dispose of them separately. My dental floss is from a small woman-owned company based in Maine! The floss is made of silk and a natural wax, and is 100% compostable. Its in a glass container, and you can buy individual rolls of floss to refill it! The packaging is also certified FSC!
What cool brands have you found?-
Laurie Husted 4/08/2019 8:53 AMA cool brand we used this weekend at the Repair Cafe was made by Preserv. They take old yogurt containers and turn them into new durable products. We used these cups that have already been used about 10 times for events all around the community from a 5K to multiple CCL meetings! https://www.preserve.eco/products/on-the-go-cups-10-count?variant=53000773451
