    What does your vision of a sustainable community look like? What would need to be changed in order for such vision to become reality?

    I think that sustainability using "baby steps" is the best way to elicit behavior change.  Even mentioning each time we shop in the grocery store, the need to discontinue the use of plastic bags helps--if enough people keep saying it, perhaps management of the store would change their policy.

    Girls need to be educated to help make educated decisions for themselves, their families, and their community. This includes decisions about sustainability.

      agreed. Erin---girls/women can be powerful forces, if educated, to make changes which benefit their communities in a sustainable manner.

    In your opinion, what contributes to people in North America eating more meat than any other countries? What does this say about North American values and ways of living?

    Historically, only wealthy people could afford meat. Now that meat is more accessible, we are in the habit of eating meat with every evening meal as a status of financial security.

    I didn't commute to UP but telecommuted instead. I got more work done in less time, while saving resources.
