    Food Smaller Portions
Fun fact: Your brain and stomach register feelings of fullness after about 20 minutes of eating. While dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come out of eating smaller portions?

I’m trying hard to eliminate palm oil from my diet or only eat products that use sustainable palm oil, but it’s in so much! I will check the ingredients list before I buy products and cross reference with websites like Greenpeace to make sure I’m only buying sustainable palm oil products.

I think many people think that all these labels are the same thing when they really aren't. Sell by date is a date that the store has to sell the item by (doesn't mean it is expired). The best by date is a date suggested by the producer that aims to tell you how long the product should have high quality. The use by date is the recommended date of when to finish or stop using the product by.

I also believe that the use by and best by dates aren't always accurate, it is best to use your best judgement in determining if a food is safe to eat or not.
