April 24 at 7:05 PMThe new sidewalks in the city are really nice for walking, they are wide so you can enjoy the space and not being so close to the cars. I like that there are trash cans every so often but didn’t like much bumping into huge dumpsters!
-
April 22 at 9:54 PMRe-think! (That’d be my other “R”). Basically, just think twice before buying products and prefer products that can be recycled or just try giving another use to something before just simply throwing it away. We recently started recycling in the office and somehow got everyone Re-thinking their Rs now :)

April 22 at 1:23 PMI'm always amazed at how many products include Palm Oil!
-
April 12 at 8:53 AMOrange County completed a robust Sustainability Assessment in 2012 and, once I knew what to look for, it was easy to find the incentive programs for water and energy savings.
-
April 11 at 1:48 PMI really want to design a concrete building using Rice Husk Ash as a cement replacement!
-
April 9 at 11:48 AMWe need to consider not only operational but also embodied impacts as well as the role of things like mechanical equipment and interior finishes.
-
April 9 at 11:46 AMI hate mail I really really hate mail
-
April 9 at 11:23 AMIt can be hard to find time to complete the one-time challenges, but I'm always surprised by what I learn from them!
-
April 8 at 7:08 AMA combination of safer bike lanes and less cars would encourage me to bike when I'm in the city! If something is within 1.5 miles of walking distance, I typically walk there since the sidewalk is generally continuous and abundant in a city setting.
-
April 3 at 8:58 AMI've tested electric bikes in the past but discovered over the last 7 months that there is no distance that i can't cover with my person-powered bike!
