I learned that you have to do the hard thing most of the time when it comes to reducing carbon footprints. You have to realize things about yourself that you have learned, and things that are bad for you and your footprint might be from way deep in your life patterns, but you absolutely can do the hard thing and make a new pattern! Start with educating yourself,  share those findings with people who are also curious, and get after it!

The more we are aware of our environmental impact and how we can change our consumption and repurposing of waste the easier it becomes just part of a daily routine. It makes me feel prideful in knowing that by implementing new techniques I am worker towards a better future

Action Track: Social Justice Support Indigenous Peoples' Land Management
Indigenous speaker and activist Winona LaDuke says that, "most indigenous ceremonies, if you look to their essence, are about the restoration of balance — they are a reaffirmation of our relationship to creation. That is our intent: to restore, and then to retain balance and honor our part in creation." Why is balance important to sustainability?

Balance is crucial in understanding better sustainability because we as a human race have become greedy in what we take from the earth without being as conscious about what we are giving back! Now more than ever it is fundamental that we release the damage we are causing and work for a better sustainable future

Transport Test Drive an Electric Bike
Half of all trips made in the US are three miles or less; 72% of them are driven. Private vehicles account for 60% of trips of a mile or less. Do you often drive short distances instead of biking or walking? If so, how might incorporating an electric bike into your lifestyle help you make more climate-friendly choices?

After trying an electric bike... I find your average bike easier to maneuver (I crashed a lot) That being said if you are thinking of traveling somewhere down the block or a mile or two over, biking and walking just made me feel so much better! I felt great getting in some extra exercise and enjoying nature rather than just zipping somewhere in my car. The journey can really be better than the destination even if its a short one
