Never knew that small changes such as getting more pedestrians or focusing on pedestrians can bring more business to local shops and restaurants.

In focusing on family planning and educating and empowering women, population decline and the benefits to the planet become the side effects. Contraception and equality are more important to the environment than many may believe.

Girls are not below men, and shouldn't be treated as a lower individual, we are not in the past anymore, everything has changed, we are in the 21st century. Without having that education, they won't be aware of the things happening around the world. If both genders come together, they can bring forth ideas that can work with the now existing...

I already knew about some of the building and cities solutions, such as green roofs and cool roofs. The landfill methane solution I found very interesting. When you hear landfill and methane you automatically think of it as a bad thing. It's cool to see how innovative we can be in turning these things into something useful and beneficial.

I love walking, the best part about it is observing your surroundings. I grew up in the city and i've always hated subways and busses. At the time I wasn't really aware of how environmentally friendly/unfriendly these actions were, but I was very aware that being underground and sitting in a vehicle waiting for it to take me somewhere was just...

Besides carbon sequestration, forests offer many benefits such as an environment to explore the Earth. There are things in the forest that many will not see as they live in cities. Its important to explore and see the beauty within forests without disturbing the systems within the forests.

I learned about a man named Oscar who owns a company called Conceptos Plasticos. His company takes plastic and transforms it into durable building blocks. They go around the city of Bogota and collect peoples plastics to recycle and reuse. They also help to educate those in that city on the importance of recycling. If these plastics were not...
