I learned this week that it may be more harmful to use Electric Cars because the C02 levels are high in the manufacturing of the batteries? Anyone??

I live in a relatively rural area so my walks have been taken around my yard and down our gravel road. I have enjoyed being able to view nature. I can't think of any infrastructure changes that would make my walks more enjoyable.

I enjoy planting trees.  We have a number of young trees around our farm and I enjoy walking around to check on them and care for them.  It helps me get a bit more exercise.  I also feel a connection to the trees and look forward to their growth.  I also look forward to the day, not long from now, when more wildlife start to make use of them....

Perhaps micro-turbines could be installed on some county buildings.  I will ask if this has been considered.  In my reading I have seen that wind generally costs more per kWh, however, it may make sense in areas inappropriate for solar eventually.

My story  starts and ends with a successful team striving to reduce  our country’s carbon footprint while maintaining a higher standard of comunity care.

I have changed some of my light bulbs to LED bulbs, and intend to change others in my house as the existing ones burn out.  I also am making a concerted effort to shut off lights in unoccupied rooms (and reminding my family to do the same).

I did not know that "use by" and "best by" were essentially the same; I had thought that "use by" was the only label that did signal a spoilage concern.

I am so excited to be participating in the Drawdown Ecochallenge with Washtenaw County.  Thank you, leadership team and Zach Neal!ˆ
