I'm encouraged by individual states' actions to combat climate change even if the feds are lagging in action (or worse, working against it).   I am also minimizing (to the best of my ability) any one-use plastic items in my everday life.  The statistics for the amount of plastic polluting our oceans is truly staggering and disheartening.

My challenge is going great!!!!

I had this morning a delicious fruit salad for breakfast from all the fruits I got last Thursday from our Farmers' Market.

I am so happy that our Farmer's Market is back and last Thursday I got all my fruits and veggies from all the farmers around my town, Concord, CA.

 the best benefit for me eating small portions is that I've noticed I am more energetic during the day.

In honoring Earth Day today, April 22nd, we took our mother to Muir Woods National Monument this past weekend where you can see the towering old-growth redwood trees and stayed away from all electronic devices the whole day.  We had the best time ever and the weather was just perfect :)
